Shirley A. Kidd

Shirley Kidd passed away peacefully on September 9, 2022, at the age of 78, after a brief illness. 

Shirley is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard; daughter Karen Kirk and her husband Jeffrey Kirk; grandchildren Tyler Kirk, Chelsea Kirk, Sarah Kidd, and Rachel Kidd; sisters Donna Grover and Mary Kay Hemming; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her son Russell.  

Shirley was known for her loving and caring heart and concern for others. She will be badly missed by all, including Muffin. After graduating from Kent State, she taught at Christ the King School and 7th and 8th grade at Saint Matthew’s. Her favorite thing was traveling the country in the RV, and of course planning the next adventure around the world or cruises and trips with her family. Not to mention how she enjoyed Amazon online shopping and was a great cook. She had many, many other talents. After retirement, they moved from Stow, Ohio to Ormond Beach, Florida and finally to Summerfield, Florida with summers spent in Stow.  

Friends may call from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Monday, September 12, 2022 at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM. Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date.
