Mildred Joyce Cox

Mildred Joyce Cox, age 92, of Uniontown and most recently Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2023.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Roy Edward Cox, daughter Karen Cox, and great grandson Austin Greenlee. Joyce is survived by son David (Tammie) and daughter Linda (Frederick), six grandsons, one great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was born October 31, 1930 in Livingston,TN to Clyde Henry and Zana Meadows Henry. Joyce had a talent for interior design with careers at Aster Paint and Wallpaper Center in Firestone Park/Akron, a home business called Interiors by Joyce, and was a manager for Home Interiors and Gifts, a direct sales company that specialized in home decor and accessories. Joyce spent the last five years of her life at Cardinal Retirement Village in Cuyahoga Falls where she developed numerous friendships with both staff and residents and served as past president of the Independent Living Resident Association.

A private family burial will take place at East Liberty Cemetery, Green, Ohio at a later date, followed by a Celebration of Life.
