Merrily E. Harder

Merrily E. Harder, 74, died January 3, 2018.
Born in Akron, she was an executive secretary for 28 years in Brecksville for the B.F. Goodrich Company at their Research and Development facility. Her family and friends meant everything to her. She loved family gatherings, always made her famous potato salad, and never missed one of Drew's soccer, basketball games or events. She loved to read, travel, and enjoyed many gambling trips to Las Vegas.
Preceded in death by the love of her life of 32 years, her husband Bill; parents, James and Pauline Kearney. Merrily is survived by her daughter, Barbara (James) Kane of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Drew "Cookie" Kane of Cuyahoga Falls, Ryan (Hayley) Kane of Stow, Kristen Kane of Twinsburg; great-grandchildren, Eli, Logan and Maxwell; sisters, Karen Parrish of Norton and Edwina Kearney of Bath; nieces and nephews, Jeff (Emily) Parrish, Brian Parrish, James (Brandi) Cribbet and Samantha Lang; great-nieces and nephews, Jacob, Nicholas and Grace Cribbet; cousins, Chandis, Noel and Harlow Capes; granddogs (her babies), Blackie and Snickers; close friends, Mildred "Millie" Clark, Ruth and Dale Caler, Mikesh and Rahull Patel, Nancy and Carroll "Peachie" Lewis, Clyde and Lynette Shepherd and Jerry Michalec.
Services will be held 7 p.m. MONDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with the Rev. Kurt Wieser officiating. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the service begins Monday. Interment 2 p.m. TUESDAY at Ira Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
