Mary A. Durkee

Mary A. Durkee, 90, was called to join our Lord and Savior on March 31, 2018.
She was born in Cleveland and resided in Stow for the last 68 years. After raising her family, she put herself through school becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse and retired from Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's many activities and spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her husband and teammate of 64 years, James S. Durkee; brother, Chalmer and sister, Ruth; she is survived by her sister, Helen Fulmer; children, John (Cora) Durkee, Mary (Fred) Balkanloo, Paul Durkee, Theresa (Bill) Bachtel, Peggy Durkee, Raymund (Dawn) Durkee, Mike Durkee, Mark (Marcia) Durkee, Chris Durkee, Ed (Deborah) Durkee; special extended family, Rebecca Garner, John Moon and David Caldwell; grandchildren, Amy, Shelley, Bonnie, Becky, Jim, Matt, Kevin, Audrey, Jonathan, April, Amy, Angelia, Raymund II, Jenna, Jeremy, Arica, Erin, Rueben, Joseph, Channing, Olivia, Chelsea, Allison and Amber; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. MONDAY, April 9th at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, Fr. David Durkee officiating. Friends may call at the church MONDAY from 9 to 10 A.M. Inurnment 1:30 p.m. Monday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Maranatha Bible & Missionary Conference, 4759 Lake Harbor Rd, Muskegon, MI 49441 (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
