Joan Elizabeth (Betty) Puydak

Joan Elizabeth (Betty) Seaburgh Puydak passed away peacefully December 20, 2017 in Akron, Ohio following a short illness.
Joan is survived by her sister, Carol Christine Seaburgh Wade (David) and their four children: Allison Wade Forsyth, Gregory C. Wade, Holly Wade Anderson (Rev. Daniel) and Jason C. Wade (Chrissy), to whom she was godmother. She is also survived by five grand nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Puydak, and her parents, Harry and Margareta Seaburgh.
Joan was born and raised in the North Bronx, New York, and graduated from North Park College, Ill, Columbia University, and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, School of Nursing. Joan and her husband lived in Germany for a short while and enjoyed traveling through Europe, mostly in France. Joan was a devout Christian and served her Lord to her best at Grace Lutheran Church, Akron. She supported several missionary organizations throughout her life and sponsored the Christian education of her nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 10 a.m. SATURDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., the Rev. Peter Mills officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery.
