Dale Eugene Artz

Dale Artz made a peaceful transition into the Lord's arms on December 12, 2017. He graduated from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1950. In 1953, while serving as an Engineer Office, he was privileged to witness the POW exchange at Panmunjom, Korea. Remaining in the Army Reserves, he served as Command & General Staff instructor for local Reserve and Guard units, obtaining a rank of colonel. After completing his MS degree at the University of Michigan, he was employed in the construction equipment business culminating in sales at Case Power & Equipment. Loving the Lord, he was a member of The Chapel in Akron, Ohio where he served as a Junior High School leader for many years. Dale's life has marked by a deep commitment to his wife Eleanor of 54 years who preceded him in death and his family. He is survived by sons Brian (Shelley), Daryl (Kelley), David (Sara) and Collin (Maria); and eight grand children.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. SATURDAY, December 16, 2017, at The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, OH 44304 in the Memorial Chapel with burial at Moore's Chapel. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Chapel.
