Betty Jo Duffy

Betty Jo Duffy, age 74, of Montville Township, Medina passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. She was born on April 4,1943. Betty Jo enjoyed riding her Harley trike, gardening, cooking, and feeding the wild critters in her backyard. She was very active with Fairlawn-West United Church of Christ in Akron, and was a member of the North Canton Eastern Star. She will be dearly missed by her special friend and companion Lana Mitchell; her sister, Grade Read; nieces, Linda Rutledge and Debbie Read; great-niece Dyann Rutledge; and great great nephew Ethan. Betty Jo was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Billie Read.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 3 to 5 pm at Fairlawn-West United Church of Christ, 2095 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44313. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 5 pm. A short graveside service and burial in Poe Cemetery will take place on August 18, 2017; meet at the cemetery at 10 am.
