Louis M. Konstan

Dr. Louis M. Konstan, age 91, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2017. He was born August 6, 1926 in Akron, OH. Devoted husband of Billie (nee Mamas) for 64 years; He was proud of his five children: three sons, Drs. Michael, Louis (Margaret), and Robert (Darlene), and two daughters, Mary (Dr. Eric) Dennis and Louise (Rod) Kyriakides; Grandfather of thirteen; and great-grandfather of four. He was preceded in death by his parents, Minas and Katherine Konstantinopoulos of Akron, and sister Mary (Ted) Pavlantos.

A graduate of Kent State University and the St. Louis University School of Dentistry, he founded Konstan's Mogadore Family Dentistry in 1954, and was highly revered by generations of his patients. He was proud of his service in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving in the Pacific. One who "worked hard, played hard", he enjoyed sailing, fly fishing, tennis, and traveling with his family, and rejoiced as a choir member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Akron, and St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Naples, FL. Always doing for others and giving to others, his love, gentleness, guidance, and wit will be missed by all. The family extends special thanks to his caregivers at Arden Courts of Bath, Greenfield Estates Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Copley, and Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate care.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2017, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., with Rev. Fr. Jerry F. Hall and Rev. Fr. Andrew Lentz officiating. Interment with military honors by the U.S. Navy at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the Church 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3.
