Gerald Arthur Kromer

Gerald Arthur Kromer was born November 4, 1922 to Carl Casper Kromer and Marie Ruth Kromer of Akron Ohio. He departed this life July 22, 2017. Gerald served in the Armed Force in World War II and was Honorably Discharged. On July 20, 1957 Gerald Arthur Kromer and Nancy Burtoft were married.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marie Kromer; wife, Nancy Kromer; sister, Ruth Kromer Helmstedter; and brother, Kenneth Kromer.
Gerald leaves to cherish his memory brother, Donald L. (Jean) Kromer; niece, Terry Rodgers; nephew, Wayne Helmstedter; and great-niece, Trisha.
Jerry loved to tickle the keys of the piano at Copley Place entertaining all of his friends and adopted extended family. He walked every day, that gave him great joy. He did not meet a stranger. He touched many lives young and old. He imparted his talent into the lives of the children that walked through the doors. He will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Dorothy Arnold for truly being a gift from God.
Services will be held 11 a.m. WEDNESDAY, July 26, 2017, at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N Miller Road with Reverend Frances Fischer officiating. Friends may call from 10 to 11a.m. prior to the services. Interment will follow services at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
