Ann Loughry Obituary
Ann Huntington Loughry was born December 4, 1933 and passed away December 23, 2017.
Ann was a graduate of Old Trail School, Bath and attended Dennison University in Granville, Ohio. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Portage Country Club, Akron Garden Club, Diggers and Weeders Garden Club, Akron General Hospital Women's Board, Junior League of Akron and P.E.O.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. C. William Loughry; her parents, Melby and Emily Huntington; and sister, Marjorie Humphrey. She is survived by her children, Ann Seiberling Mell of Birmingham, Michigan, Marvin M. Mell III of Key West, Florida and John Huntington Mell, Akron, Ohio. Ann is also survived by her sister, Mary Prichard of Houston, Texas; stepchildren, Michael Loughry of California and Laurie Loughry of Chicago, Illinois; and many close friends.
There are no calling hours and services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Ann's memory to Old Trail School, One of A Kind Pets, or to a charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank the staff of Rockynol, 1st floor rehabilitation and Summa Hospice for making Ann's final weeks peaceful and comfortable.
